Gary Dirks, Director, LightSpeed Solutions

Dirks holds a doctorate in chemistry and spent his career with BP and its predecessor companies, serving as group vice president, head of BP for the Asia/Pacific region and president of BP China. During his time with BP China, the company grew from no revenue and fewer than 50 staff to $4 billion in revenue and 1,300 staff.

Ellen Stechel, Deputy Director, LightSpeed Solutions

Stetchel holds a doctorate in chemical physics and leads Sandia National Laboratories' Sunshine to Petrol grand challenge project. She spent seven years in management at Ford Motor Company and has led large, complex, high-risk, high-impact projects and a team to prove, integrate, and deploy - in high volume and in compressed time - technology that was previously unproven.
